After having a hard drive crash losing all my chainring CAD and CAM files, and then having a series of floppy discs fail losing my back-ups of said files, I've finally upgraded to a thumb drive. Now to draw up all the other bolt pattern and size variations, consolidate and eliminate all my floppy drive crap....Simpler IS better. Yay for thumb drives.

what is a floppy drive? Is that like a record or a fax?

more like an 8-track

Yea, well the CNC machines I run only have a floppy drive to transfer files with, so I'm kinda stuck with antiquated technology.
It's better than the tape reader machines I started with, those really were 8track technology.

I gotta go, my Commador is overheating...

Dude... that sucks. Floppys. UGH. Remember seeing those on the CNC machines at DMACC about 10 years ago and I was a bit confused then.
